In Webtrends for Technical Professionals I: Essentials you will learn how to configure and implement the base functionality provided in all Webtrends Analytic 8 packages. This class is designed for technical professionals who are responsible for configuring the Webtrends features to produce the reports required by business users and other Webtrends end users in the organization.
Through the use of demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and lecture you will learn how to configure profiles, filters, templates, and other base functionality required to provide a foundation level of reporting. SmartSource Data Collection (SDC) is used as the primary approach for data collection. Because the SDC technology is applicable to both software and OnDemand, exercises and demonstrations are provided for both environments.
An overview of the SDC JavaScript tag and the Webtrends query parameters is included to provide a general understanding of SDC data collection; however, this is not intended as detailed SDC tagging instructions for web developers.
